Mental health issues affect a significant portion of the Black community, with 1 in 5 individuals experiencing mental illness. This statistic underscores the urgent need for accessible and effective mental health services tailored to this demographic.

Despite the prevalence of mental illness, only 25% of Black individuals seek treatment, compared to 40% of White Americans. This disparity highlights barriers such as stigma, 

The mental health profession lacks diversity, with only 4% of psychologists, 2% of psychiatrists, and 22% of social workers being Black. This shortage of Black mental health professionals 

State of Chronic Health Condition in The Black Community

Understanding the state of chronic health conditions in the Black community is crucial for developing effective interventions and support systems. These conditions disproportionately affect our community, highlighting the need for targeted education, prevention, and management strategies.
